would consider herself a multidisciplinary artist as she refuses to stay in one style of working. Caitlin has have been doing art since a young age and has studied in many different fields of art also. Caitlin has just finished a Masters in Fine Art. Her Degree was a collage of different things as she first started as a Artist Designer Maker where she made Abstract Ceramic Sculptures, then for her second year of university she studied Fine Art in the Bergen Academy of Art and Design in Norway where she also lived for a year which her love of abstract landscape painting grew stronger. Whilst being in Norway Caitlin had a few exhibitions in which her work had a great response from people and has been exhibiting in around Cardiff where she is currently living. In Flood's current practice she is exploring her first responses and impressions of landscapes / Cityscapes and the experience she has being within them and also the experience she has whilst painting. Flood's work began with a trip to Hamburg, Germany, while there she did various drawings from all the places she explored. Flood explores aerial views of the city within her paintings and expresses the emotions felt there in her work.Flood says "Hamburg was a real escapism experience for me it was a place where I could really switch off and, I always found that to be the case when travelling, painting and being within landscape. The source of my paintings come from many different experiences I have had to face in my life, things coexisting at the same time to make the paintings what they are. Going away in order to return.
