It is ideal for artists who seek expansion and want to create in the tropical climate of Southeast Asia, surrounded by nature and white sand beaches.
La Fenice Art Gallery makes 3 mini concrete homes-studios available to selected promising artists for only a few months every year by invitation only. The studios are immersed in a tropical garden. You can work in the studio, on the terrace or in the garden.
The mini homes each have a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and terrace and are surrounded by a big garden with coconut, mango, bamboo and other tropical trees. Located in a fishman village on the Southern part of the island.
The rental price includes utility bills, wifi. There is a coin laundry 5 min walk away as well as early morning market, shops, 7/11 and restaurants.
This studio is ideal for those of you who want to explore this booming part of the world and living an adventurous lifestyle while creating and preparing your new future exhibitions. Most suitable for those who want to have an international career and enjoy an expat lifestyle in tropical island of South East Asia.
We also provide a second Artist Residency available to 2 artists in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which is about 1.5 hours flight away (tickets with AirAsia are on average 20 – 50 Dollars), ideal for those who are seeking a bigger expansion, cultural enrichment and more networking in booming Kuala Lumpur. In that case we advise you to combine the two residencies.
There is a possibility of a solo exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore or online at the end of the stay, for those who come for a longer stay, have a big enough body of quality works and can finance their exhibition.

High season: November – March : 650 Euros. Low season: April – October: 550 Euros.

Second month stay at 5% discount. Third month stay at 10% discount.
If selected, you will be asked to confirm your stay by paying 30% non-refundable reservation deposit. Final payment must be received 60 days before your arrival date.

Please note, we work in silence. We ask you to bring headphones with you. Also, the houses are non-smoking.
